Fantastic from start to finish! Highly recommend

Video or telephone consultations are now available for patients who do not wish to travel to appointments in view of the coronavirus pandemic. If further investigations are required (such as scans or blood tests) these can be arranged after the appointment. You can read more about this type of appointment here.

Julian Hamann is a highly skilled Consultant ENT and Thyroid Surgeon, who consults in Harley Street and Kent. He has nearly twenty years’ experience as a surgeon, carrying out a wide range of procedures on the ear, nose, throat and neck, from routine operations to complex and revision surgery. He manages all general ENT conditions, and has specialist interests in problems of the nose and sinuses, allergy, voice disorders, children’s ENT problems, thyroid cancer and snoring.

He recognises that conditions do not need to be medically serious to impact on quality of life, and that every patient needs adequate time and attention in order to assess their individual needs.

As a father of three, he is experienced at dealing with children and is sensitive both to their needs and the concerns and anxieties of parents. He is motivated at all times by the desire to reach the best outcome for patients, both physically and emotionally.

Mr Hamann has been great with my son. Very gentle and professional and my son can now hear perfectly. Julian has always walked in for his visits with a smile on his face and that says a lot.

His NHS practice is based in Tunbridge Wells Hospital, and he is also an honorary consultant at the world famous Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. He also sees patients at Sevenoaks Hospital and Maidstone Hospital.

He runs a leading private Ear, Nose and Throat clinic at The Harley Street Medical Centre in London, and at the Spire and Nuffield Hospitals, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. He receives referrals from consultant and GP colleagues, as well as direct self referrals. Many referrals are ‘word of mouth’ referrals from patients previously treated by Mr Hamann.

His clinic provides a comprehensive service from diagnosis to medical or surgical treatment. Some conditions and operations are best managed by a team of specialists from different specialties. Julian works with experienced consultants and other healthcare professionals across all specialties who can provide assistance where required. He performs state of the art surgery and ensures that he is able to advise on and offer the most up to date treatments available.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the way the procedure turned out.

Julian is fee-assured with all major UK health insurance companies.
